Speaking Up About Mental Health! is a challenge for high school students aged 16-18 years, to write and submit an essay addressing ways to eliminate and/or reduce mental health stigma faced by young people, especially in diverse communities. In addition, students may also address resilience and coping strategies to overcome mental health issues such as social isolation and loneliness, depression, and anxiety.
NIMH, NIMHD, and NICHD may award prizes for up to 20 winners from a pool of $15,000. Log into our Cocoon Club online community to learn more and apply!
